ATO BBQ Benefit for Sgt. Juarez, 3/31

Assist the Officer will be hosting a BBQ Benefit on Friday, March 31, 2023, at the Houston Police Officers’ Meeting Hall for Sergeant Jose Juarez that will include BBQ Plates and Silent/Live Auction!

Sergeant Juarez has been a member of the Houston Police Department for 22 years and out of academy class 179. He has been a staple in the community in 17 districts. He is currently battling leukemia and has been hospitalized since Christmas Day 2022. Sgt Juarez is a husband, and father of 5, and a community advocate. He has received numerous awards throughout his 22-year career on the department. His leukemia diagnosis has affected his family, fellow officers, supervisors, and friends along with the community he serves. Sergeant Juarez has established many relationships throughout the department. He leads the annual toy and back to school drive every year in the South Gessner Division and he has worked diligently over his career to bring the community and the police together.

His serious medical condition has required full time hospitalization and has already amounted large medical bills. Let’s support his family by raising funds to cover his medical expenses. Let’s all lift up Sergeant Juarez and his family in prayer as he fights through this illness and difficult time.

Assist the Officer gives 100% of the donations to Sergeant Juarez and his family.  If you are unable to attend, you can also donate online by visiting AssistTheOfficer.com.  For any questions or item donations for the auction, please contact Officer Ayala (832) 250-6685 or Commander Rodriguez (346) 266-9520.
