Get ready! HPOU Family Picnic set for Saturday, Nov. 12

The time has come to save the date for the big event – in this case HPOU’s biggest family activity of the entire year.

The annual HPOU Family Picnic is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 12 at “the usual locale” – Oil Ranch, 23501 Macedonia Road in Hockley, off Highway 290.

“Everything we do here spells F-U-N!” event coordinator Dan Levine, HPOU board member, said. “There will be a wide array of fun activities for the kids as well as us older members of the crowd.”

The fun starts at 10 a.m. and goes through 7 p.m.

Levine recited the basics: “Free food, drinks, snacks and ALL ACTIVITIES ALL DAY.”

You must pay attention to a few details. The Union has to know who’s coming and how many in order to fill all the food and drink orders.

HPOU members are urged to “invite immediate family members only.”

Email: Include your payroll number and number of tickets, which are free.

Levine reminds all those planning to attend that the Union will not be furnishing shuttles from State Street to Hockley this year.

“Drive safely and let’s bring on the fun,” he said.
