The Houston Police Burial Fund will have its annual meeting on Thursday January 11, 2024, at 10:45 a.m. in the Knights of Columbus Hall located at 607 E. Whitney in Houston, Texas. All members of the Burial Fund are invited to attend.
HPBF Board of Trustee positions 1, 2, and 3 will be elected at this meeting. To run for a trustee position, one must be a member of the Burial Fund in good standing for at least two years and be present at the annual membership meeting, except as otherwise provided by the bylaws. Nominations will be taken from the floor at the meeting. If you are interested in running for one of these positions, use the email below to learn more information.
The Board has set trustee meetings for 2024 on the following Thursdays: March 7 and May 2 at 12:30 p.m. in the Houston Police Credit Union Board room (1600 Memorial Dr., Houston, Texas) and September 12 at 10:45 a.m. in the above K of C Hall. Members are welcome to address the board or ask questions during these meetings.
There are a couple of ways that officers can help strengthen the Burial Fund. In the past individuals and corporations such as Schepps Dairy made significant and ongoing contributions to the fund to show their support for Houston Police officers. If you have any such contacts that you could introduce the trustees to please contact the fund at the email below.
Secondly, advise your spouse to encourage donations to the Fund in lieu of flowers at the time of your death by stating this option in your obituary.
