The Houston Police Burial Fund will have its annual meeting on Thursday Jan.13 at 11 a.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall located at 607 E. Whitney. All members of the Burial Fund are invited to attend.
There will be an election to fill the remaining partial terms of Board of Trustee positions 1, 2 and 3. There also will be an election to fill the full terms of Board of Trustee positions 4, 5 and 6.
To run for a trustee position, one must be a member of the Burial Fund in good standing for at least two years and be present at the annual membership meeting, except as otherwise provided by the bylaws. Nominations will be taken from the floor at the meeting.
The Board has set trustee meetings for 2022 on the following Thursdays: March 3 and September 1 at 12:30 p.m. in the HPOU Director’s room (1600 State St., Houston, Texas) and May 12 at 11:00 a.m. at the above K of C Hall. Members are welcome to address the board or ask questions during these meetings.
