Taco Cabana serves its specialty to 300 HPD officers to demonstrate its support for men and women in blue

For the second time in recent memory Taco Cabana offered free tacos and Tex-Mex trimmings for 300 officers at the HPOU headquarters on Jan. 8.

The Union summoned officers through an email blast that saw the doors open at 11 a.m. and the last meal served before 1 p.m.

“They reached out to the Union for assistance in showing their commitment and support for the men and women of the Houston Police Department,” HPOU 3rd Vice President Tom Hayes said. “We all got a great lunch – tacos, chips, queso – you name it.

“This is the second time Taco Cabana has served us a meal like this, a sign of community commitment we all greatly appreciate.”
